GEMSTONE PANNING
New for the 2008 season is our Gemstone Panning operation. Young and old alike can discover the treasures that lie beneath us from places around the world.
How does it work?

Buy a bag of ore - there are 4 types to choose from (fossils, gems, and gems with Rubies and Emeralds) - they range in price form $5-$10.

Using the screen that we provide pour some of the ore on the screen.

As the water from the sluice falls over the screen the ore will wash away to reveal the treasures! Everything you find is yours to keep.
This has already proved to be great fun for both kids and adults and has been a hit at the birthday parties. Each bag of ore will be different so you never know what you will find and many enjoy doing the activity more than once or on different visits to add to their collection.
